I’m sure you know there are a ton of different rights products available. It’s a big thing on the internet marketing scene. People write up a report and then offer rights to it in exchange for a fee. You purchase the rights and it’s a shortcut to having your own product. These rights products come in real handy if you want to offer a back-end product to your list or to test the waters of a particular market.
But do you understand what you may do with each type of rights product? Keep in mind that the license agreement provided with your rights product is the ultimate guide. But for the most part, most of the internet marketing community adheres to the following guidelines:
Resell rights allow the purchaser to resell the product and keep the profits.
Master resell rights allow the purchaser to resell the product AND to resell the rights to the product. Of course, they may keep all the profits for themselves.
Private Label rights allow the purchaser to rebrand the product (i.e. give it a new name, add their name as author, create new packaging) and even make changes to the product (add in new chapters, customize it, etc) AND resell the product keeping all the profits.
Lastly, there are Master Private Label rights. These rights allow the purchaser to rebrand and make changes to the product. The purchaser may also resell the product AND the rights to resell the rights to the product.
